Hi everyone,

I'm getting a rainbow boa in a few weeks, so I thought it would be a good idea to get connected with other owners.

My name is ben, I'm 15, I live in Illinois. As previously stated, I'm getting my snake in a little over two weeks. It will be my first snake. I have read that they can be more difficult to take care of, but I feel that I am thouroughly prepared. I was originally going to get a red tailed boa, but came across the rainbow boa and was hooked. I'm very excited to get it. I look foward to getting to know all of you!

I'll probably be getting a brazillian, as I like the darker brown better. I'll post some pics fosho. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Welcome to the forum,
Rainbows are easy enough to care for, It's more getting the humidity right really compared to other snakes
Stick some photos up once you've got your snake!

Hello Ben

You are right, they are a little harder than normal snakes to care for, but as long as you've done your research and are not scared to ask questions if anything happens that your not sure of you should be fine.

What type of Rainbow Boa are you getting? I've got a Brazilian, but being in the U.S I bet you've got more choice to pick from than us in the U.K
