Hello,

My housemate and I are currently starting a little (well it was little) breeding business. We have just hatched our first leopard geckos this year. I am getting fascinated by snakes, we rescued a Red Tail Boa and I was looking at getting into a different species of boa. He found the Rainbows and they are stunning. I like that they are a newer species that is just starting to get known. Anyway, I would like to know as much about them as possible as I find the morphs intriguing. I have no problem breeding normals as well as they are beautiful on their own. I look forward to getting to know you all.

I beleive you can get anerythristic brb for around £2,000 each. But you cant beat a nice normal 1.

Brittany,

Nice art!!

The lady at Slipstream Serpents is very nice and knowledgeable. We have been chatting a bit. Hopefully next year I can acquire some boas from her.

I agree, I don't think you can improve on a Brazilian Rainbow Boa

Welcome to the forum - there's some great links there

People are breeding them out for color and pattern. As this is a whole new species people are doing this with they are not sure which morphs will prove out true but you can check some out at this site:

Here is another site with morphs:

http://rainbows-r-us-reptiles.com/collection%20Brazilian%20Rainbow%20Boa.htm

People are trying to breed high orange, high red, amelynistic, aneryistic and calico ( like the piebald ball pythons). I am thinking of aiming for aberrant with that awesome irridescence brought out more. The first link has some nice aberrants (unusual patterns).

They are beautiful just in their normal state though.
