no , i have no other exotics . the shop said it was feeding day every wednesday. its on baby mice , the size under fuzzies (you'll have to pardon my in-experienced terms , as im new to all of this at the mo !) pinkies are they called? i will try all of the above mentioned,in a container,at night,i viv ect.i suppose like you said its just a case of getting to know the snake.its just that meanwhile its not feeding and im left wondering will it be ok !
i took the advice about the "sphag moss" and have a load on the freeze at the mo>saved a fortune. thanks f Xor everyones help and advice. FINGERS CROSSED

Another quick question, do you have any other reptiles or exotics? just out of interest.

i wouldnt start worrying yet as you said it is a new snake and its will take a while to de-stress and feel secure in its new environment, i do feed all my snakes out of the viv and as jono said try find out what it ate and any eating habits it has from the previous owner, some of my snakes strike feed and some feed at night when ***ody is around, getting it onto rat pups at a young age will make life easier when its older as trying to swap an adult from mice to rats can be quite difficult and rats are preffered (by me anyway) due to the size of a rat compared to a mouse :)

keep us updated ! :)

Was the breeder/pet shop feeding mice or rats? I would try next with rat pups.
Do you know the feeding history?
Temp/humidity?
Feed over night?
What size container are you housing in?

sorry for all the questions.
Dont worry right away it can take a week or so to settle in, just keep trying every few days.
