Hiya

In a sense of planning for the future what size vivarium is ideal and can you have too big a vivarium for a fully grown brazilian rainbow boa ?

I have read plenty of articles stating the importance of not going too big vivarium wise for the python as it is growing but have come across nothing about when fully grown ?

Lots of people, Martin, will make a big deal about starting with a small cage and increasing it as your snake grows. However, purchasing a cage that will work for your animal's entire life (an adult Brazilian will need at least three by two feet of floor space) is probably a better move, both monetarily and effort-wise. Just make sure to provide *hides* appropriate to the size of your snake -- so long as a Brazilian has somewhere to wedge itself into, where it can feel itself press up against either wall or moss, it will feel perfectly secure and relaxed, and the overall viv size is not an issue. Hope this helps!

Hi I'm no expert but my still growing (3 foot now) BRB has spent her entire life with me in a 4 foot viv, a seems perfectly happy and never missed a feed. So long as there is ample cover and hides for them to chose from I have never had a problem. But that's just my experience.
