Fussy little wotsits aren't they? lol

He took his mouse fine last week. Proper strike and constriction. But I remembered I fed him quite late in the evening then, so it may even be he just isn't interested in feeding during the day. Next time I'll try feeding him at night again and see if he'll take it properly. If not I guess I'll just leave it in with him again. It's just trial and error, but at the end of the day I don't much care how we get there as long as he's eating it! lol

... just thought I'd give a quick update. Thought I'd try feeding the baron a rat fuzzy at night to see his reaction. Very pleasingly he did a marvellous strike and beautiful constriction! Unfortunately though he has since lost interest in it again. I left him in his tub in a dark room to take it down about 15 minutes ago. But I just went to check on him and he's moved away from it again.

Will leave him a little longer but if he doesn't want it I'll leave it in his rub for him again and fingers crossed he'll take it overnight. Would like him to feed from his tub ideally though, so will keep trying for a little while. If not I guess I'll just have to stick to giving him room service! lol

Another update. Left him alone in the dark for a little while longer. Just went to check, and there is a lump in his belly.

He is now back in the peace and quiet of his rub to digest for a couple of days...

Very pleased he fed 'properly' for me, even if he did have me going for a few minutes!

Congrats. I have a few that prefer to eat in private and when dark as well.
