This is my first snake, Brazilian Rainbow Boa female, no idea what phase it is. She is about 1 and a half year old, she is approaching 5 foot. The pictures below will show how gorgeous and tame she is. Also, a picture of her brand new terrarium, it's her Christmas present from me :). Look at the pictures and tell me what you think, comments will be appreciated :), thank you.
Aww, cute Mitch, I removed her hide to take this picture, she was probably shocked, but she went straight back to sleep :).
Mitch is in shed in this photo, as you can see by her fog alike colored skin. She shed that very well and it all come out in one. Amazing to witness.
Another picture of Mitch after I disturbed her, she just looks so cute and cuddley and warm. Bless her.
This photo is a bit more graphic than the others, as it shows her starting to swallow a rat. Large rat, she handles them very well. She is a monster of the jungle, yet such a beauty.
As you can see in this photo, Mitch can only just about fit on the palm of my hand curled up, she is a big one, I'm not sure of her weight but I'm going to invest in some scales very soon. She is a beauty!!
Here is the starting set up of Mitch's new tank, it is a 4.5foot terrarium and is very good for what I need it for. The stand it is on I bought separately but together, they're perfect. I still need to invest in some plants, logs, branches to climb on and a few other things, but for now this is what it is.
This is a close up of Mitch's new terrarium, it has virtually everything in there that you NEED but I want more stuff in there to make it look like she is in a rainforest.

Very nice viv and snake! She's a beaut! I'd be careful of her meal size, though -- rainbows tend to obesity in captivity, and most do fine on medium-sized rats every second or third week. |

Cheers pal! I do need to put some greens in there and a few other things but its good for now. And yeh i think they are medium sized rats because in the shop they have bigger than these, and smaller, the weaned rats are what am feeding my BCI now, so medium must be next which is what she is on now, and then the large ones! Shes lovely! |
