It has become almost impossible to photograph Marius anymore. He's gotten so big that I have to be far away to fit all of him in the picture. :D As soon as I put him down to step away, he freaks out, though. He does NOT like to be put down. Once he is in my hands, he's happy as can be. The moment I try to set him down, he grips onto me with a death grip and it takes me forever to get him to settle down long enough to snap some shots. Therefore...please forgive the crappy quality of these images. Most were taken in haste before he decided to go flying off of my chair in search of me, lol.

"Where the heck did mom go?"

"Ah, here she is...."

Nothing 'crappy' regards the quality of the photos IMO. Some stunning pics of Marius, just love his colour and the odd black dots between some of his circles Thanks for sharing |

Oh wow Jenn, Marius has gotten so big and colorful -- I love his reds! I better not show these to Jasper though, or else!
BTW, is the water bottle his snake "security blanket"? ;-) |

LOL! I put that there gently to give some reference to his size for the first pic. When I tried to remove it to take further pics...he was like: NO, mom, you gave this to me and it is MINE. :D :D :D Now that I think about it, it did help him to stay put for longer than a few seconds when I let him go, LOLOL!
Thanks for the compliments you guys. Maybe next time I'll try to get him in some natural light (if I get any...it's been snowing and cloudy here for days...) and if it is during the daytime, maybe he'll be a little more sleepy and a little less wired. ;) |

How old is Marius by the way? Still not sure of Arcos age coz we think the shop screwed up telling us she was 1 when she was only about 4-5 months :\ |

Thanks Tawfik! :) Cliff, last time I weighed him was on the first of January. He's sitting at about 860 grams empty. Do you think he looks stocky in those pictures? Mike over at RTB.net was asking if I was sure Marius was a male because he looked stocky. Do you think he could be a female? I do trust the breeder I got him from and he said Marius was a male...but I also don't want him to be overweight. :/ |

He does not look overweight to me at all. My 2010s (as of the same date!) weigh between 960 and 475....pretty much split into two groups, lol! |

Is that males and females? Makes me feel a little better to know that he's not overweight, lol! I was a little worried there for a minute. >.< |

Hmmm...from memory, the heavy group is four females, and the light group is three males/four females...plus there is one male stuck in the middle at around 625 grams. While that makes it look gender-biased, six of them (including all three males) came from either breeders who fed lightly or were born prematurely. The sole male that is not true for is the one in the middle. |

Ah, that's good to know. I guess he's doing well then. :) I just checked on him yesterday and he is deep in shed, so I hope to have some new pictures up soon and I'll try to get a new weight on him at some point. He's not the easiest thing to weigh because he HATES being put down, lol! |

Weigh him in his hide. Then weigh the hide empty and subtract. |
