For this entry, we are profiling Agate, the sixth of our six adult breeder females. Agate was born in April 2008. We named her, as with all Living Gems females, after a semiprecious gemstone.

Here is Agate as of late June 2008, just before she came to Living Gems (photo taken by the breeder and used by permission). Note the extensive bullseye patterning -- she even has a few rare double-bullseyes (one is partly visible on the left-center)!!!!

Here is Agate as of April 2012, on the occasion of her fourth birthday:

Outside
Note she’s about to break for freedom here. She’s never been a real fan of the camera. ;-)

Inside
This one came out great for color.

Agate was re-introduced to her 2012 mate Franklin in mid-November (there were no babies last year due to a late start). Just last week he was following her around the viv. Here’s to hoping she passes on those cool patterns!

Our beloved moderator is never an idiot! Thank you, though, self-doubting or not. ;-)

She is stunning. I love her rich coloring. Best of luck with babies (fingers and toes crossed)!
