A vast amount of snakes wont eat in the first week, sometimes 2 of moving into a new place. There are also other factors that could influence it, so I shall run through a list of questions, if you could answer them, it would be appreciated.
Roughly how big is the snake? How big is the viv? What substrates do you use? and what depth? You have a mat and IR bulb, do you have any other heat sources? Do you have stats? What are you measuring the temperatures with, and where? How many hides do you have in the viv?
There may be a few more questions, that I've probably forgotten about for now, if I have then others will add more on in replies/

im also concernd about the humidity iv got a water bowl under the IR bulb and im sprayin the tank with water a few times a day, but its not havin any effect?? |

You need to put the thermostat probe on the ground near the hide where your snake will spend the majority of it's time.
How are you measuring the humidity? A digital hydrometer is a lot more accurate than a dial one, so I would recommend you get one of those if you haven't already.
Using newspaper isn't the best substrate for humidity either - you could try using either eco-earth or orchid bark as that retains water more easily. A fogger might help too, but I find that spraying regulary is just has effective. |

You can get digital thermometers from ebay for around £3. Just search for 'Digital Aquarium Thermometer'. They are much more accurate than dial ones.
If you have an IR bulb on a dimming thermostat then you shouldn't need a mat as well. |

The Analog (non digital) thermometers are useless they arent even close to accurate!!! So that 88f could be anywhere between 50f and 100f!!! Thats how crap they are :( You NEED a digital thermometer, otherwise you are just guessing tempratures. |

My BRB used to burrow under the orchid bark, but she's grown out of that now.
The drop at night isn't essential, but good if you can manage it.
Are you sure the thermostat is working? |
