                      | Hi all! I had Jade out yesterday before feeding time, and noticed that about half way down her body she had a split ventral scale.. It looked a tad like a split fingernail, just a single scale mind. She didn't seem to mind it, and had no objection to me having a close look, but I'm just wondering how this could have happened? Did she catch herself on one of her nightly travels? Is there any treatment? Or should I just keep a watchful eye and make sure nothing gets in?
 Thanks :) Oscar

                      | A picture would be helpful. The fact she's not protective of it is a good sign though. |

                      | Marius has this too. He never favors it and doesn't mind me checking it out. I have no clue what it is, but since it doesn't seem to harm him, I don't worry too much. I'd love to see pics also, to see if it is the same thing Marius has. My breeder friend once told me that it could be the belly button, but I dunno. |
