Mayhem 110g

Bow 110g

Find that really strange about 2months ago Bow was 60g and Mayhem was 43g and it seems that mayhem has put on more weight to what Bow is and Bow has had aprox 6 - 9 more feeds then Mayhem , But Bow looks bigger then Mayhem is this an issue ? They are both feeding on Medium Mice and they both show a huge bump after feeding.

I would have thought Bow should have been around 130g mark but seems they are both the same weight .

Thanks Ash, that's really useful As soon as Jade's finished shedding I'll post her weight up too. She's definitely got more chunky in recent weeks! Now that Mayhem is feeding more, maybe he's packing on more % weight as a reflex, where as Bow is just taking it steady?

Just caught her out and about so decided to pick her up and weigh her anyway She ate 3 days ago, and dont think she's pooped yet, so take off a bit for that, but she's 135g, but has never missed a feed, so had been more than happy to take her med's! (Medium Mice). She is so milky she looks like an albino... it's bizarre!

Wow! They're all seven months old, right? At that age, mine weigh about 80 grams and eat the largest rat pinks (8-10g). For perspective, mine only hit 125g around nine months, and I don't move up to [edit: a significant] meal size, rat pups (20-35g -- smaller end of course) until about a year old. (Out of curiosity, what does a medium mouse weigh in the UK?)

Yeah, 7 months old 3 days ago actually! Jade's eating medium mice which are between 10 and 18g in the freezer bag as it stands at the moment, they still leave a nice bulge, so don't see the need to move up a size yet..

Yes Cliff they are both 7months old and hehe , The medium mice that i am using are around the 18g - 22g per a medium mice , Had no idea that my two are doing good as you said you expect your brbs at that age to be around 80g , but Oscar feeds his a lil more then what i do he feeds every 6days he said to me where as i feed every 7 to 9 days which i think is better in the long run so they have time to be active and burn the meal off

Just be careful, guys. Brazilians generally channel it into growth when young, but are very easy to overfeed when older. I'd stay on your current food size for a while (as Oscar noted) and only every seven+ days (as Ash noted).

Best of luck,

Yes i don't need to move up a prey size anyways these medium mice are leaving a nice bump so looks like they will be on mediums for a while.
