i have 75w heat light in my 35 gal tank the heat light seems to dry the tank up really quick do i invest $80 bucks into a mister or should i switch over to another heat source. only problem with that is i dont see a heating pad heating up the tank enough , so i guess im asking is whats your set up to keep it perfect for our little ones

Coupastar, I always recommend people avoid heat bulbs -- precisely because they do dry the air -- in favor of either undercage heating or radiant heat panels. A well-designed rainbow tank can benefit from a mister, but should not require it. Humidity is provided by a large, flat water bowl (ideally placed partly over the heat), a moisture-retaining substrate (such as coco husk or eco earth), a moist moss-packed hide, and limiting ventillation (no screen tops or large vent holes). BTW, watch how hot it gets -- unlike most boas, these guys like it cool. Temps over 85F with no escape can kill them.

Glad to hear I've helped.

I hear you on the worrying bit! Just make sure temps don't get *too* high -- remember, 85F+ is really bad.

Congrat's on Hydra's first shed with you!
