For this entry, we are profiling Carnelian, one of two young females we are promoting to breeder status for next year.

Carnelian was born in August 2009. We named her, as with all Living Gems females, after a semiprecious gemstone. She has four relatives at Living Gems, two aunts, one full sister, and one half-sister. She also had two brothers who have since left/will be leaving the facility.

Here is Carnelian as of March 2010, not long after she arrived at Living Gems:

While generally a calm snake while being held, she gets nervous after a few minutes, and on occasion can get a bit nippy. She thankfully had the looks to make up for this small sin.

Here she is as of August 2012, on the occasion of her third birthday.

Inside

Carnelian currently weights 1940 grams.

Cliff, I normally say how good the outside photos are and normally prefer them. Not gonna happen this time im afraid probably due to the fact that bottom photo actually deserves its own thread, that truly is a stunning rainbow and the perfect photo.

When are we seeing that image on your merchandise lol

Bravo! Really, you have some absolutely stunning specimens and you're not to shabby at the photo taking part! Always love seeing your snakes.

That photo has a pretty good response on Facebook and a few forums..ignored on others, lol. It will be used for merchandise eventually, but probably not until/if Carnelian becomes a momma. Thank you both!!!
