To start off the New Year, we are profiling Scarface, the fourth of our five adult breeder males.
Scarface was born in July 2008. We named him, as with all Living Gems males, after a famous figure. (In this case, partly inspired by a baby accident: while now long healed, he lost a head scale as a baby at the breeder due to a bad shed.)
Here is Scarface as of October 2008, just as he arrived at Living Gems, checking out his new human:

Here is Scarface as of July 2012, on the occasion of his fourth birthday:
Outside There wasn’t very much sun that day, so combined with the side shot his color is a bit dull.

Inside Note the more vibrant color.

Scarface is a lucky man this season: he was re-introduced to his 2012 mate Almandine in early November (there were no babies last year due to a late start), and will be introduced to his second girlfriend Onyx in January. I have already seen courting activity with Almandine.

Love the baby shot of Scarface - so cute checking out his new human. As I expected another extremely vibrant snake and a lucky chap at that with two girlies this season |

Gorgeous as always. Great to see his scale grew back. I love your pictures, they always capture the shimmers on these guys. |
