okay, so im getting my BRB baby in july or august or later on , he's born this month. So i've heard people keep their BRBs in R.U.Bs until a few months old or ready to move on to a glass vivarium (which i have ready) thats all okay, but i was wondering how would you heat a rub? or can you just plonk the baby straight into the viv?
heat mat for the rub if you put the brb in the viv too early it wont eat due to stress make sure the mat covers about 2 thirds of the rub so he still has a cool end :)
okay will do :) also does anyone recommend a waterfall or a fogger? because when i am at school or on holiday (i go twice a year) it could be very useful do you not think? also what about a ceramic bulb that could come in handy, but then it will cancel out the heatmat which i need for the r.u.b.....VERY CONFUSING someone please shed some light on this for me.
I used a waterfall before for my water dragons and in the summer tiny little flies (midgets/nats etc) laid and bred in the water and i had thousands in my room so i threw it away i used the exo terra brand one i would use a ceramic once your in a viv but you MUST have a bulb guard on it if you do.
my basic setup (non species specific) is
rub setup: 1 mat 1 matstat substrate 2x hides water bowl hydrometer (digital) thermometer (digital) moss hide (usually in the second hide and i use sphagnam moss)
viv setup:
1x ceramic bulb (guarded & on a pulseproportional stat) same as above to be fair except i have a few more hides in the form of cork bark plants etc
for a viv i have the mat to heat at the required ambient temp and the bulb to heat for a "hot end" or basking spot temp
