Hiya

Its looking like wife is ok with me getting myself a brb as well as keeping my royal python so am after preferably a combined hygrometer/temp gauge for my brb set up, was emailing as exotics for info and a snake but only had one reply and not getting any replies to any of my emails now , they mentioned they sell a combined unit for temp/humidity, any ideas as to what they sell or any recommendations ?

Also does anyone know if as exotics has gone away or changed their email address as found a brb close by to me but would rather buy snake off them ?

Martin

Got a lovely royal python called earl, 2 brazilian rainbow boas called zeus and hera, a red tail cross boa constrictor called dorris and an albino burmese python called angel as well :-)

ASExotics are on here as well, so I'd imagine a response will be forthcoming.

I don't use combi units for any of my vivs so cannot honestly recommend any, sorry.

the exoterra combined digi hygrometer/thermometer is supposed to be very accurate and reliable. i dont personally have a combi unit but i have been very impressed with the performance of the individual units from the same range.

Digital is the way to go, avoid the little cheap cage cages and wheels. All my temp and humidity gauges are attached directly to my computer.

Re: Amazon link....looks like a decent unit (and digital!), though it makes me wonder how they got the price so low and still provide quality....

I'm not familar with the Exoterra unit, so can't really comment.

Sorry I can't be more help!

I've got mostly exo-terra thermometers etc as I got their lighting setup so they fit nicely ontop of that. The monitors themselves are really pretty decent, I've found them to be pretty darn accurate, as well as the humidity sensors, but make sure you test them to see what the maximum and minimum values are - my humidity probe won't measure above 92% (when places in a hot hot hot warm steamy shower!)

Anybody any thoughts on this one apart from the white cabling and the humidity range being 20-90% ?

I like the fact it has built in alarm also

Hiya sam

Anthony has replied recently but the snake he was recommending has sold now, can you help at all please as am in the process of buying the equipment and setting up the viv ready so would like to get one secured before they all sell ?

I really like the high reds so was asking if you had something on those lines left, was looking at the babies from the devil and silver ?

Theres a few that I like on your available list but am no expert and I always say the best decision is done from seeing what your buying in the flesh so would rather take one of your recommendations
