I brought Freyja home last Thursday and she'd already started her blue phase.
Five days later and she's still buried in the plantation soil, under the damp sphagnum moss hide, not quite over the heat mat. She just has parts of her body and her snout poking out.
She's gone a really pale colour now and I'm hoping she's going to shed any day. I keep stroking her every day to make sure she's okay and she wriggles about a bit.
Heat mat is under RUB. Temps are 79/80F on top of the soil at the warm end and there's a slight condensation on the RUB walls. The hygrometer packed in as soon as I put the damp moss in one of her hides!
Do they sometimes take a while? Am I worrying too much?

All perfectly normal. The process can easily take over a week. I just had one of my older males push it to almost two weeks, poor guy! One way to tell is their eyes will usually clear up about a day or so before they actually shed.

She's less milky today so I'm hoping she'll shed any day now.
Morse the Cali king shed for the first time for me last night. Awww! :o)
Zephyr only ever takes a week max from blue to shed!
