Hi folks...
Slowly getting there.. I am almost at the point of getting the correct mixture of heat and humidity.. The heat is stabilising at around 27 to 29 deg C depending on the time of the day in the hot side and around 20 to 22 deg C in the cold..
The humidity varies from 90% to 94% also depending on the time of day..
I have added a couple of pictures to show how it's looks but if you have any comments please do let me know .. The water bowl is a temporary one until I can change it for a new one of the same size..
 Front side showing displays etc..
Inside the Rub... Damp hide front right and water bowl rear right.. warm hide front left and cool hide centre rear
I have used a 14L rub as she is only 6mths old, but if you think it should be smaller please let me know.
Any comments glady accepted...

Very nice, Paul! Three hides may be a few too many options for a young snake in a small RUB, so you may want to pull one of them. The hole in the top of the moist hide will make it harder to regulate the humidity in there, so just keep an eye on it. Other than those few comments, looks good! |

Okay thanks for the info.. I have placed a CD on top of the moist hide and the humidity stabilised more so over night, so I am going to change the aperture size today with another one and see how that goes.. I have also removed one of the hides too.
Thanks for the advice Cliff

Looking good Paul , The RUB size 14L is just about right for a 6month old BRB , I had my BRB in a 13L RUB from the age of a month old but now he has out grew it and now is in a 40L RUB but hes now about 9months old haha.
Look forward to pics of your new addition. |

Anytime Paul. You might wnat to consider putting the hole for the moist hide on the side, I've found that work much better. Good luck, and keep us posted! |

Okay finally cracked it... Open the holes slightly on the lid and all's good on da hood! (scuse the pun) with the humidity and heat now !!
spoke to the shop and she's shed but due a feed tomorrow.. So hopefully going to pick her up after her next feed so as not to upset her feeding routine too much, plus workload is stopping getting there to collect her too. Ooooh and she's shed just fine too yesterday.
Looking like tomorrow after work, or Friday to collect her now !
Thanks all for the input to present ! :)

Ziggy is home as from yesterday......
I was hoping to take some piccies, but she is happy to spend time in her moist hide.. Her food however is currently defrosting this evening so I will be feeding her tomorrow with Darwin (in seperate tubs if people question)..
Hoping to take piccies tomorrow as she is freaking me out not being able to share her looks !!!

Okay she has fed this evening.. She didn't want to feed yesterday so we left her another day and tried again with a fresh one.
Boom ! .. Struck just fine and had no problems.. So she's back in her rub now and fingers crossed once she's settled down I will take some good photos to share with everyone..
Sorry it's taken so long, but I wanted her to settle in and feed. Now that's all done I am happy to subject her to photos.

Congrats, Paul! I'm not surprised by the first refusal, as travel can a stressful for a snake. It's often best to give them a few days to settle in after arriving. Again, congrats on the successful feeding! |
